Books, books, books – for teachers, families, and young people around the world.
If you need school books or other children’s books, you’ve found just the right place!
Bring us books you don’t need anymore; we’ll find them good homes.
(Click here to learn which books we accept.)
- School Administrators: No-longer-needed texts or school library books taking up storage space or headed for your dumpster? Don’t let them meet their fate in a landfill. Get them to us!
- Teachers: Need more copies of certain texts or supplementary materials? Looking for a teacher edition? Want your own classroom library?
- Parents: Want books to enrich your child’s education at home?
- Non-Profits: Need any textbooks or library books for young people?
- Service Clubs: Want to send books overseas or to another place in the U.S.?
The Book Exchange finds second homes locally and globally for children’s reading and K-12 school books – and certain college-level books. Working with Marin county youth, educators and service clubs, we promote education and literacy worldwide.
Special Note: Here at the Global Book Exchange, we are all volunteers. No one here gets paid to organize, direct, or work. So please be understanding when you come to get books or when you bring us books … we are not like a full-service bookstore (but we always do our best to help you). Thank you for your understanding and for your support.
The Global Book Exchange – Winner of the Marin Economic Commission Award of Excellence for “contributions to a vibrant and sustainable economy.”
